After years of pressure (well, about a year of talking about it), The A.V. Club finally recognizes the existence of comedy. There’s a channel for it, an interview with Rob Delaney, and a whole bunch of podcast content. Now get ready to sit at your desk and laugh alone like a crazy person all day.
They didn’t think his jokes about their terrible article were comedic.
There’s a lot of “rules” to how you’re supposed to do it, and you’ve got a lot of unsolicited advice, and then there’s a lot of people that will rail against other types of comedy that they don’t think is true stand-up comedy. Then after a while I just sort of felt like, “Well, maybe what I’m doing is not stand-up comedy anymore. It’s not really a play, but maybe it’s somewhere in between, and it’s just storytelling.” I just think of it now as storytelling.

Hi. I just released my brand new standup special “Dangerously Delicious.” Click here download/stream it at azizansari.com for only $5! The above clip is a free preview. Thanks.
FAQ:
What is this?
I did a standup tour called Dangerously Delicious. Then I filmed it at the Warner Theatre in DC in June of 2011. I paid for the production myself and wanted to release it online. While I was trying to figure out the proper method of release, my friend and hilarious comedian Louis CK did his whole thing and it seemed to me that people really liked that model, so that was the route I decided to go.
Is the same material on your new tour?
No. The material on my upcoming Buried Alive tour is totally different. None of this material was on Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening (my last special) either. Click here for tickets to the Buried Alive tour.
I tried to get it, but something happened and its not working?
Don’t worry. Email support@azizansari.com or tweet at @azizsupport and someone will help you.
Do you like fish tacos?
Of course I do!
We reviewed this. It is very good.
Will Ferrell talks about his Old Milwaukee commercials, speaking Spanish for Casa De Mi Padre, and acting with his ass.
Listening to Briefcase Full Of Blues, which was recorded on September 9, 1978 during a live appearance opening for Steve Martin at Los Angeles’ Universal Amphitheatre, the comic pretense for the Blues Brothers is all but nonexistent. Briefcase is a straight-up, no-bullshit, surprisingly credible soul/blues-rock record. Much of the credit for that goes to the band, which along with Cropper and Dunn features ringers like former Howlin’ Wolf guitarist Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Bar-Kays drummer Willie “Too Big” Hall, and future Keith Richards drummer Steve Jordan. But Belushi and Aykroyd are just as committed to putting the songs over with genuine showmanship and zero irony.

Today’s For Our Consideration discusses whether there are too many comedy podcasts. As the above image, and the growth of Podmass, indicate, maybe.
