Victory is ours! Parks And Recreation is getting a full 22-episode pick up, and so is Up All Night, which is really good if you’re not watching it. We feel the need to inform you that also Whitney is getting another season, a full season, while Community is only getting 13 episodes. But the pounding in our heads just won’t let us process this informaiton.
Girls, Parks And Recreation, and a Community clip show in a nutshell/nuthouse
Who Won TV loves itself some emotional unraveling this week.
In more excellent pop culture news, Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler are getting back together with David Wain and Michael Showalter for a rom-com parody. So that makes this, Cougar Town, and Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost joining up to finish their Shaun Of The Dead/Hot Fuzz trilogy. We’re just going to take the rest of the day off before any bad news can happen.
In much happier news, we made this video this morning. Despite it’s unwieldy moniker, Don’t Trust The B—— In Apartment 23 is turning out some great jokes.
Parks And Recreation shot two season finales, one where she wins, and one where she loses. Which one do you want to see?
President Obama gives me a shoutout, calls me out on lack of Twitter followers.
I still can’t believe this happened.
We just followed you on Tumblr, if that helps at all.
Between this and supporting Omar, Obama is really winning the pop culture wars.

Jennifer Barkley, played by the always-game-for-anything Kathryn Hahn, is a ballbuster who follows the money to wherever it leads, and is willing to do whatever it takes to win simply because it’s her job. Plus she’s great at it: She ate egg salad with Colin Powell, which is about as good as it gets. Leslie, meanwhile, is the kind of person who has a life passion, then figures out a way to make that her job. She and Jennifer are polar (or should I say Poehler hahahahahahaha please don’t laugh at that) opposites in that respect; there is literally nothing genuine about Jennifer, and there is literally nothing not genuine about Leslie.
Nick and I had so much fun shooting those. When we were shooting the first scene on the first day, at 6 o’clock in the morning, and the scene was that Nick and I were supposed to screech into the parking lot of a motel in Burbank, and run into this motel room to have, like, crazy jackrabbit sex. So I decided, at 6 in the morning—and I hadn’t really even met any of the cast—I said, “Nick, I’m gonna take my shirt off,” and he was like, “All right.” So I took my bra off in advance and as we screeched into the parking lot, I threw it out the window of the car, and then after running into the hotel room, I just pulled my whole sweater off. And they said, “Cut!” and the director came over and said “Hi, I’m Troy.” Like, I hadn’t even met the director yet.
AVC: That must be why they invited you back.
MM: [Laughs.] Probably. “Bring her back, she’ll take her clothes off.” It was really fun.
Megan Mullally talks about her work on Parks And Recreation, Party Down, and a bunch of other funny sitcoms.
Something about Parks And Recreation turns otherwise dour people and critics into giggling children. It is literally the best.
New web intern Becky Frass took up the challenge of making a GIF of Jesus Ron Swanson from this video. You get what you ask for readers.
