A fascinating, frustrating season of Homeland continued fascinating and frustrating us right to the end. What did you think of the finale?

Homeland: maybe just effing with us now? Todd VanDerWerff had to split last night’s episode into two parts to grade it. What did you think of it?

“Broken Hearts” is an unbelievably frustrating, incredibly compelling, out-of-its-mind bonkers, terrifically engaging episode of television. I loved the shit out of it. I also hated it. The more I think about it, the more that applies to this season of Homeland.

Last night’s Homeland was split between Carrie and Brody. Do you agree with our critic Todd VanDerWerff that the Brody story was a bit odd?

Know how we like to make fun of the Emmys for really only rewarding Modern Family? Well last night they gave all their awards to A.V. Club favorites Homeland and Louie. Looks like we’re going to have to take back some of the things we’ve said.
